Evaluations for Your Small Group

Groups often celebrate the completion of a study guide or of a year. This is a great time to enjoy a social event together and evaluate your small group experience.

Below are various kinds of evaluation questions you might use with your small group. Choose 2-10 questions for your group to answer. These questions will help you improve the quality of your group and enable the group to remember the great time they had together!

Reminiscing Evaluation
  1. What do you remember about the first time you attended this group?
  2. How did you feel about opening up in this group and sharing your story?
  3. What was the funniest thing that happened in this group?
  4. What was the high point for you in this group?
  5. What will you miss most about this group?
  6. How would you like this group to stay in touch with each other?
  7. How has this group contributed to your life?
  8. What is the biggest change that has occurred in your life since joining this group?
Closing Evaluation After Studying Mark
  1. The purpose of this group is to discover together what the book of Mark says and how it relates to our lives. What have you learned about Jesus that surprised or interested you?
  2. How has this study affected your thoughts and/or actions?
  3. What did you like best about the series of discussions?
  4. What did you like best about the small group experience?
  5. Would you be interested in meeting for a new series of discussions on the book of Acts to find out what happened to the people you met in your study of the Gospel of Mark?
  6. Whom would you like to invite to our next NBS study?
5 Question Evaluation
  1. What did you like best about your experience in Bible study?
  2. What have you learned that has been significant to you?
  3. Have you noticed any changes that have occurred in your life because of the study? If you are willing, please explain.
